Prayer: Vincent de Paul
The spirit of the world is restless and wishes to do everything.
Let us leave it to itself. Let us have no desire to choose our own paths, but
walk in those which God may be pleased to prescribe for us.
Thank you for these words of wisdom today. They remind me of Pedro Arrupe's prayer "In the hands of God" which is a great inspiration to me. I need to keep these words in mind and surrender totally to our Lord.
John, my spiritual director was blessed to meet Pedro Arrupe but not until he had suffered his stroke; however, he said that it was powerful just to be in the room with him.
