The image of a new heaven and a new earth, and out of the new Jerusalem, revelation seeks to express that the perfect perfection God will give to all history at the end is not merely of individuals who now find happiness and pleasure only for themselves. But God gives, rather, is a new society, what centuries of humanity have longed for and driven toward. It is society in its highest form. It is encounter, assembly, and universal communication.
All nationalism are overcome in this society. The pilgrimage of nations to Zion are fulfilled. Everything is brought into God‘s new world. Nothing positive from the long history of humanity will be lost. The whole culture and science of the world, every thing ever thought by human beings, everything they have longed for and worked on will be treasured within this city.
