The
martyrs get a birth at the time of their death. They get a new beginning
through their end and a new life through their execution. They who were thought
to be extinguished on earth shine brilliantly in heaven.
"Spiritual" must not be confused with "religious". "Religious" means "related to religion", a particular "brand" of dogmas and doctrines, using demanding belief and faith. "Spiritual" means "related to spirit". Religions usually require a belief in God or some kind of acceptance of a metaphysical or supernatural reality, whereas spirituality is not necessarily bound to any particular religious tradition. .
