God is creative and dynamic, the tri-unity of love relationships energizing the heart of creation. Creation is not an object on the fringe of divine power; rather, it emerges out of the innermost depths of the trinitarian life. Creation expresses the dynamism of divine love, it is what god is doing in this moment. Evolution is the process by which the triune God opens up towards the fullness of love in and through the material world, loving the world unto the greater wholeness of being-in-love. The divine fountain fullness of love continuously pours itself into Word/matter and breathes new life in the spirit. Creation is a kenosis of divine love, a self-emptying of divine love into matter.
Creation expresses God's vulnerability, to act out of love. God goes forth from God; God takes a risk by bringing into being what is not God and entering into it. Creation is the beloved of God and the becoming of God and love. Creation is not merely an act of God but the very life of God; God delights in creating and through creating God becomes ever new and love. Creation, therefore, is god's destiny. God does what God is - what is true to god's nature - God loves, and this act of divine love is infinitely creative. God creatively delights in the dynamism of love.
