Prayer is not just
spending time with God. No, prayer is dynamic. Authentic prayer changes us –
unmasks us – indicates where growth is needed. Authentic prayer never leads to
complacency, but needles us – makes us uneasy at times. It leads us to true
self-knowledge, to true humility.

Yes, prayer is an active interchange with our Lord and at times it can be very uncomfortable. But what a blessing and privilege that we can communicate with the Creator of the universe and that Creator cares enough to challenge us to be more than we ever thought we could be. Thanks for sharing Teresa's prayer.
