Holiness
consists in doing God’s will joyfully. Faithfulness makes saints. The spiritual
life is a union with Jesus: the divine and the human giving themselves to each
other. The only thing Jesus asks of us is to give ourselves to him.

Giving ourselves to Jesus sounds so simple but it requires an entire change of direction in our lives. Once having made that change, one realizes that there is really no other way that one wants to live.
ReplyDeleteIt is never simple. Praying the "Take Lord Receive" is very difficult at times because the faith is demanding.
Delete"Take Lord Receive" is certainly difficult at times. I continually ask God to help me truly mean it when I pray "Give me only your love and your grace. That is enough for me" as I sometimes feel the need for other people as well. God seems to ask nothing of me and yet demands everything if I am to follow him.
DeleteWe are human and our desire for other things are good. If they help lead to our salvation, keep desiring those things. Bravo!
