God, here I am, at your disposal, your child. Use me to continue
your loving the world by giving Jesus to me and through me, to each other and
to the world. Let us pray for each other: that we allow Jesus to love in us and
though us with the love with which his Father loves us.

Prayer: Teresa of Avila
Jesus, what a true friend
you are and how powerful. For when you wish to be with us, you can be, and you
always wish it, if only we will receive you. May you be blessed forever, Lord,
for offering your hand of love in my darkest, most lonely moments, for loving
me more than I love myself, and for putting up with such a stubborn soul as
mine.

Prayer: Alcuin of York
O God, here on earth you
are constantly seeking to change us. At times we wish to flee into the
wilderness to avoid you. But let us learn to love the lasting things of heaven
rather than the dying things of earth. We must accept that time always brings
change, and we pray that, by your grace, change within our souls will make us
worthy of your heavenly kingdom.
