Lord of our troubled world:
We pray for all who suffer,
for refugees and orphans,
for families disrupted by war.
We pray for church workers and missionaries,
for all who work with the afflicted.
Help us work for justice,
without which we have no right to peace.

This is a beautiful prayer as it progresses from praying for those who suffer to a call to action - "Help us work for justice,
ReplyDeletewithout which we have no right to peace." Yes, unless we are willing to put our faith to work, we have no right to expect peace. We need to work for justice for all.
Thanks, Lynda. It is respectful for us to look at our own behaviors first before we launch a campaign to change the behavior of others.
