In the Gospels, the resurrected Jesus identifies himself with his wounds. They are the proof of his identity. The wounds to Christ is the real, living Christ. He shows us his wounds and gives us the courage not to conceal our own: we are permitted our wounds. Our faith may also be wounded by doubts. Wounded faith is more Christian, not less.
