John, thank you for this inclusive post. I am always uncomfortable in church when mothers are singled out and asked to stand and there are so many women left sitting - women who have supported others in raising their children in so many different ways; women who are single and without children; women who for whatever reason do not have children of their own. They too are important and deserve a blessing. Thank you for being sensitive to this. Blessings on you as you have nurtured many a person as well!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome. I know many women appreciated it. Many men were great with the message. Some men gave me blowback because it is too politically correct for them, but they are not the intended recipient of the message. Actually, they are because if God's mercy is universal and inclusive, I want them to hear about this type of love.
