O Lord, forgive my sins: the sins of my youth, my present sins,
sins which are manifest to all the world, and sins which I have so labored to
hide from the world that now they are hidden from my own conscience and my own
memory. Say to my sad soul: “Child, be of good comfort, your sins are
forgiven.”
