Poem: "Silent Stand the Candles" by Pamela Love

Silent stand the candles tall
with fragrant fir beneath,
shaped with care into a ring
to form an Advent wreath.

Weeks go past; by Christmas Eve
this circled evergreen
is topped by flame-tipped candles –
short, tall, and in-between.

Raise your voices, everyone;
sing of a Babe so small;
bright candlelight reminds us
He was the greatest Light of all.

  1. What a gentle poem that ends with a very powerful truth. Thank you.

    1. Let the lights increase as we move towards His Victory over Darkness.
