Blessed is the man with a pure heart,
To whom God entrusts the new Eve.
Blessed the obscure servant,
For whom the day dawns.
At night, the angel comes,
Pushing away the shadows of silence.
Joseph glimpses from afar
His role in the covenant work.
Jesus is entrusted to him,
This child asleep in Mary’s arms.
Mary is the enclosed garden,
Where God calls forth a spring.
Blessed the man who knows how
To welcome the Word of light.
When looking at Joseph, Jesus
Will see the image of the Father.
