80 Years a Jesuit
Eighty years a Jesuit. At an annual Jubilee mass and dinner held at Boston College High School this afternoon, Fr. Louis Grenier, S.J. celebrated eighty years as a Jesuit. Other Jesuits celebrated 70, 60, 50, and 25 years in the Society, while another group celebrated 50 and 25 years in the priesthood. That is a lot of prayers. Tens of thousands of masses were celebrated by these men, and as we know, these prayers sustain the world. Ignatius famously wrote at the end of the Spiritual Exercises, “Love consists in sharing what one has and what one is with those one loves.” Let us thank God for the love these Jesuits have shared, and thank you for the love that you share within this community of faith.
