The commercial aspect of Christmas may become overwhelming. When it does, do something simple during the day. Light a candle, indulge in a cup of coffee away from the hustle and bustle, lightly hum a nativity song, stop into a chapel to say a quick prayer. Collect yourself and give yourself a needed break. In those times, consider the story surrounding the birth of Jesus and recall your gratitude for his birth.
Read the story of the nativity today. Read it again as your near Christmas Day.
