Prayer: Oscar Romero
Those
who want to bear the mark of the Spirit and the fire that Christ baptizes with
must take the risk of renouncing everything and seeking only God’s reign and
justice.
Those are challenging words and Oscar Romero was up to that challenge. I don't know whether I am up to the challenge but I pray that I am.
ReplyDeleteThe Gospels are meant to challenge us, but we have tamed them. When someone like Romero comes around, we feel energized once again.
