Prayer: Meister Eckhart
Do
not think saintliness comes from occupation; it depends rather on what one is.
The kind of work we do does not make us holy, but we may make it holy.
Amen! I didn't always have work that I enjoyed when I was employed but I always found it fulfilling when I considered that there was a person depending on me doing my job well.
Yes, we do have to put perspective around our employment. We can't always do the meaningful work we want, but we can realize we are to sprout where we are planted.
