Prayer: A Prayer for the day

Mother Teresa said, “Jesus, though you hide yourself behind the unattractive disguise of the irritable, the exacting, the unreasonable, may I still recognize you.” Teach us to see your presence in all people, especially within those with whom we have disagreements or difficult conversations. Help me to hear the pain and suffering they are trying to communicate to me. They need me to listen. They need me to be patient. They need me to understand. They need validation that they remain in relationships with me. Give me an understanding heart that can bear with them. We bless you and ask you to bless us through Christ our Lord. Amen.
