O Lord,
I am poor in the gifts of discipleship,
and yet I long to bring you gifts which honor you.
I thank you that Epiphany is a time of revelation,
when you lead us into new understanding,
and teach us what offerings you desire.
O Lord God,
who guided the Magi by a star,
let there be an Epiphany in my heart.
Let me make my journey with them,
finding you and then returning to my world
to live out the consequences …
And, like the Magi,
keep me obedient to your prompting,
however perplexed I am by it,
so that I accept its guidance for my life.
