Imagine how it was –
stable luminous in starry light,
shepherds steeped in a night
all
dizzy the grace.
Imagine the warm,
sweet-grass place
where the baby lay asleep –
the singing of angels
and rapturous birds,
their glad words
stirring even
the sheep.
Imagine
the footfalls
of
camels,
the
heartbeat
of
kings
stumbling
east
toward
a miracle.
Imagine how it was –
breeze wafting wonder
and peace
and gladness
across valley and hill.
Imagine
how it could be …
could be
still.
Beautiful with a very inspiring final stanza full of hope and possibilities!
