Prayer: John of the Cross
The road is narrow. One
who wishes to travel it more easily must cast off all things and use the cross
as a cane. In other words, we must be truly resolved to suffer willingly for
the love of God in all things.
What a visual of the narrow road. It brings to mind the narrow pathway that I have shovelled from my house to the garage this winter. It is difficult to carry things because they hit the snowbanks on either side - yet it is easy to walk on the pathway empty-handed. Lots to think about! Thank you.
As I walk with a stick in Jordan, I find drivers stay away from me - because they don't want their cars getting damaged if they were to accidentally hit me.
