Some dogs go to sleep at night giving thanks for a great hunt, Other dogs go to sleep dreaming of the ever escaping squirrel. Some dogs rise to awaken the sun and all their neighbors, Other dogs greet the dawn with leash in tow. Some dogs spend their day guarding and yapping at invisibles. Some dogs with half-closed eyes keep a bead on the crucial back door. Many dogs listen well and give obedience considerable consideration, Many dogs like to play and some seem to even know the rules.
Humans take great delight In that their dogs can be friends, companions and helpers. But what dogs like best is being a dog, And not being a part-time human. Well, that is what one smart dog told me in strictest of confidence.
I absolutely love dogs and especially the unconditional love that they offer us. My little doggy passed away one year ago yesterday and I miss her terribly but haven't yet got another. She was with me through some very tough times but all she wanted was to be with me.
Thanks for posting this and I do hope you are able to get a dog.
I'm sorry you lost your dog a year ago. We'll see about a dog in the community. Typically, it is not a part of our lives because we move so often and we have to balance it out with respect for our community members.
That is one of my favorite, favorite, favorites. I love the music, words, images. Thanks for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun? Many in the U.S. love dogs, rightly so.
DeleteJordanians fear and dislike dogs. I want one.

Love it. We try to make the world an extension of ourselves instead of letting the other be other.
