Prayer: Teresa of Avila
All that should be sought for in the exercise of prayer is conformity of our will and the divine will, in which consists the highest perfection.
This is so very true. It reminds me of the prayer "Take Lord and receive" as we ask God to take our entire will along with everything else except God's love and grace.
Yes, it does have its similarities. I think Ignatius ups the ante when we also inserts memory, freedom, understanding, and all that one has and possesses. It sounds nice but has its challenges.
