Prayer: John of the Cross
In
order for the soul to succeed in reaching God and to become united with God, it
must have the mouth of its will opened to God alone, and freed from any morsel
of desire, to the end that God may satisfy and fill it with love and sweetness.
Oh so true and so beautifully expressed. I appreciate the phrase "freed from any morsel of desire" so I will desire only God.
ReplyDeleteHe said it poetically.
DeleteSo poetic!
ReplyDeleteGod's sweetness is better and deeper than Halloween candy!
I'm totally with you.
