Prayer: Helen Keller
Joy is the holy fire that keeps our purpose warm and our intelligence aglow.
Hmmm. Good point. I think joy keeps us engaged and appreciative of the wonders of the world. It feeds our intellect and we search deeper for signs of God's actions. It is in the striving that we find excitement.
Don't know about the intelligence part but the first part is true for me.
